Creative Explorations enrolls children from infancy through 13 years of age across three beautiful campuses located in Windham and Gorham, Maine. We offer an inclusive, nurturing environment with a play-based curriculum that fosters meaningful relationships and is enriched through intentional connections with the arts and nature.

We are committed to building a community that is accepting. Our programs remain in constant evaluation of our materials, language, and resources in an effort to eliminate societal bias and stereotypes, racism, and historical inaccuracies.
We believe that children are capable of guiding their education. This is why we offer an emergent curriculum that scaffolds learning to provide an experiential, interdisciplinary model in our programs.
The environments at Creative Explorations are designed to act as a third teacher. The classroom layout is carefully arranged to provide an abundance of opportunity for communication and relationships, as well as space to be alone to support self awareness and regulation.
Children engage in creative expression daily. At Creative Explorations, we want to promote self-expression and imagination through a process based art curriculum.
We believe children are challenged and motivated to process complex concepts best when submerged in their natural world. We utilize our outdoor classrooms daily, regardless of weather conditions. Children are encouraged to explore the world around them and gain a love and respect for it.
